In January 2011, Scott & White Memorial Hospital in Round Rock added the Emory Bellard ALS Clinic to its healthcare program. The Bellard ALS Clinic is a member of the Texas chapter of the ALS Association. Since its inception, over $100,000 has been raised for the clinic.
RISE Program at the Stallings Center for Children with Disabilities
Started in 1974, the RISE Program on the campus of the University of Alabama provides a place for children with disabilities to learn and grow through physical, occupational, speech, and music therapies.
Due to the success of the program, RISE schools have been opened in Denver, Colorado; Stillwater, Oklahoma; and four in Texas (Dallas, Austin, Houston, and Corpus Christi).
